You deserve a clean home. But if you've fallen behind, you may need a deep clean. A deep house cleaning doesn't have to be overwhelming.

Even if you have a tidy home, it could use a deep cleaning from time to time. It's a good idea to break down the job into smaller tasks.

Declutter before deep cleaning

Put away, organize, donate, or trash any clutter. A stuffed closet or pantry might take an entire afternoon, so don't bite off more than you can chew in one day. There are many give-a-way groups on Facebook where people will pick up items you no longer use for free.

Start high and work your way down

Start upstairs in this order: ceiling, moulding, light fixtures, walls, baseboards, then the floor. A good dusting tool is a microfiber mop or telescoping handle duster.

Remove dust from all surfaces

Use a slightly damp cloth or furniture polish where necessary. Move all objects as you go. You can also take a lint roller to lampshades at this step.

Deep clean the floors

Move your furniture and use the crevice tool on the vacuum to get the corners and edges. If your floors are hard, follow up with a good mopping. If you have carpets, you may want to rent a carpet cleaner.

Deep clean bedrooms

Wash bedding, flip the mattress, and declutter closets,

Deep clean the kitchen

Polish cabinets, install/refresh shelf liners, deep clean appliances, tidy countertops, and clean pantry.

Deep clean the bathroom

Wash or replace your shower curtain, shine shower doors, declutter vanity or cabinets,

Keeping your house clean will be much easier after a deep clean. Set a calendar reminder to do a deep clean once or twice a year. Or if you need a hand, make sure to reach out for a quote on our deep cleaning services.
